The method of repair of manifolds (1) and non-return valves (29) fitted in the inlet and discharge of the manifold of reciprocating pumps, and other types is to recover the manifold whilst the pump is inoperative to re-machine various seating (25,28) in the recovered manifold and fit these seating with rings in stainless steel or bronze (36,37).The recovered non-return valve seating (31a,32a) are re- machined, replaced back into the manifold and the unit refitted to the pump.
