PURPOSE:To obtain a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, having excellent decomposing activity against ashlam. CONSTITUTION:A strain A-18 (National Institute of Bioscience and Human technology, FERM P-14,244) as a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, having excellent decomposing activity against ashlam. The bacterium has a bacillus shape, no flagellum and negative mobility. Gram stainability is positive, a catalase test is positive, an oxidase test is negative and the result of OF test is F. |
