<p>In a diaphragm pump, the pump head houses tongue valves that have a valve disk in which there are valve tongues (14) circumscribed and partly encircled by ring-shaped depressions. These tongues (14) are hinged to the valve disk (15) with a web (17). The valve disk is clamped between pump head parts in a region bounding a valve. To avoid subjecting the web and the valve tongue (14) to material displacement and deformation due to clamping, the invention provides an opening (19) in the valve disk (15), opposite the valve tongue (14), in the connection region between valve tongue (14), web (17) and outer clamp (18). As a result, the valve tongue (14) and the web (17) can no longer be affected by material displacements stemming from the clamping region (18), since transmission of these material displacements is broken in the region of the opening (19).</p> |
