发明名称 Apparatus for lasting footwear
摘要 963,722. End lasting machines. CAMPEX RESEARCH & TRADING CORPORATION. March 22, 1962 [April 5, 1961], No. 11069/62. Heading A3B. An end lasting machine comprises wipers, a shoe support for supporting the last bottom-up, pincers on opposite sides of the support and means for moving the pincers inwardly towards one another no earlier than concomitantly with the inward movement of the wipers across the insole. A toe lasting machine is described. A toe pad 200 (Fig. 10) and a heel clamping pad 222 are mounted on a carriage 148 which has a piston rod 150 which moves vertically in a cylinder 152 (Fig. 1 not shown). The toe pad, preferably made of a resilient material i.e. rubber, leather or felt, has a concave sloping upper surface 202 adapted to receive the ramp portion of a shoe upper, and a tenon on its lower surface to fit into a mortise in a pad block 188. This block is pivotally mounted for limited movement on another block fixed to a plate 166 the teeth 168 of which normally mesh with the teeth 162 of a plate 164 at the top of the piston rod 150. However by pushing up two screws 170, which pass through slots in the plate 164 and are screwed to the plate 166, the position of the plate 166, and thus the toe pad, can be adjusted. The heel pad 222 can be adjusted in uprights 21b of a pad carrier 212 by compressing springs 230 (Fig. 12) while the lengthwise positions of the carrier can be adjusted by raising a pin 236 from one hole 246 in a plate 207 and lowering it into another. This plate 207 has a rack 208 which meshes with a gear 246 on a shaft 248. By moving a piston rod 254 in a cylinder 256 the shaft is turned and thus the heel clamp is moved either towards or away from the last At the end of the shaft 248 another gear 260 (Fig. 12) meshes with a gear 262 freely rotatable on a shaft 264 (Fig. 13). By moving a piston rod 276 in a cylinder 278 a cam link 270 causes the shaft 264 to move to the left (Fig. 13) and lock the gear 262 against the wall 251 to prevent movement of the gear 262 and thus the heel clamp. The last with shoe upper and insole thereon is placed on the toe pad which is so located heightwise that the upper surface of the insole is approximately level with the wipers 14 (Fig. 4) the driving mechanism of which is described in Specification 910,675. The toe end of the lasting margin 294 (Fig 14B) is placed on top of the wipers, with a notch 296 at the forward end of the lasting margin in engagement with a guage blade 102 to centre the upper properly in the machine. The guage can be linearly adjusted along the line of symmetry of the wiper blades by rotating a knob 88 (Fig. 8). The lasting margin is also placed between the jaws of pincers 142 (Figs. 3 and 14B) which are then closed by piston rods 140 moving in cylinders 138. At the same time retarder blades 78, 84 are lowered on to the wipers to clamp the lasting margin. After this preparatory positioning which can be repeated if necessary the first stage is started by bringing the heel clamp 222 and a toe clamp 114 (Fig. 8) to bear against the last. The toe clamp is mounted, above the last, upon a piston rod 108 which can move vertically in a cylinder 106. By removing the air pressure in the cylinder 152 which supports the carriage 148, and by maintaining the pressure in the toe clamp cylinder 106, the toe clamp forces the last and carriage 148 downwards till the piston 298 abuts the bottom 300 of the cylinder 106. The position of the clamp on the piston rod 108 has been so adjusted that the bottom of the toe clamp is now below the bottom of the wipers by an amount equal to the thickness of the lasting margin. As the last was lowered the upper was stretched about it by the grippers and retarders and a yoke 68 (Fig. 4) conformed the upper to the shape of the last. At the end of this first stage the parts can be returned to their initial position if the assembly and palling over has not been satisfactory. If desired adhesive is now deposited in the angle between the lasting machine and the insole. Alternatively the lasting margin after having been wiped in may be tacked to the insole. To start the second stage the wipers move forwardly over the insole, the pincers move inwardly towards each other due to piston rods 120 (Fig. 3) moving in cylinders 118, the retarders are raised to release their grip on the lasting margin, the heel clamp is locked, and upward pressure is applied to the toe pad. When the wipers have completed their forward stroke the second stage is then completed by the jaws of the pincers opening, the pincers returning to their original position, the heel clamp being unlocked, and increased bedding pressure being applied by the toe clamp. Finally the carriage 148 is lowered, the wipers and heel clamp are retracted, the toe clamp raised and then the carriage is raised again so that all the parts resume their original positions. An electric circuit (Fig. 20 not shown) controls a pneumatic system (Fig. 21, not shown) which controls the various cylinders. A knee switch starts the preparatory assembly while a foot switch is operated to start each of the three stages of the lasting process. This foot switch sets a shaft rotating and cams on the shaft control various electric switches in the electric circuit while other switches are controlled by the position of the wiper blades. Specifications 904,108 and 963,724, also are referred to.
