<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, when any trouble seems to have occurred during the operation of an angular velocity measuring device for measuring the angular velocity of rotations working on a vibrator, the suspected trouble to be detected without delay and thereby the waiting time for judging the presence or absence of any real trouble to be shortened. <P>SOLUTION: A vibrator is excited to generate driving vibration, and an output signal from the vibrator is processed by a detection signal output circuit 20B to obtain a detection signal corresponding to the angular velocity. A plurality of output signals reverse in phase to each other are outputted from the vibrator, the output signals containing drive signal capacity coupling components that are the same in frequency as and are different in phase from the driving vibration generated by the vibrator on the basis of the detection signal and the driving vibration. A diagnosing circuit is provided with a capacity coupling component output circuit 20C that processes the output signals and outputs drive signal capacity coupling components having gone through signal processing. Addition by an adder 21 of the plurality of output signals from the vibrator in the capacity coupling component output circuit 20C causes any detection signal contained in the plurality of output signals to be canceled and the drive signal capacity coupling components to be amplified. By subjecting the amplified drive signal capacity coupling components to phase demodulation and detecting the same, the detection signal output circuit is diagnosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
