Supermarket shopping trolley

The shopping trolley has a wheeled chassis supporting a wire mesh shopping basket, with a rear handle and a child seat at the back of the basket. An additional valuables compartment (2) is provided below the child seat, its top cover, or one of its sidewalls, pivoting open, or removable to provide access to the valuables compartment and secured by a lock (4). Pref. the sides of the valuables are collapsible, to increase the space in the shopping basket and are made of wire mesh or a non-transparent plastics. The lock is operated by a mechanical key, or a combination mechanism and/or is combined with a coin-operated device used to release a trolley chaining mechanism.
