PURPOSE:To provide the image pickup device with a high coding efficiency and less picture quality deterioration in the image pickup device coding and outputting a picked-up image. CONSTITUTION:The image pickup device comprising an image pickup means 2, a signal processing means 4 and a coding means 7 is provided with a means 5 extracting an object and the coding characteristic is changed by using an extracted object signal. Since efficient coding is attained by using object information, the coding efficiency is improved and picture quality deterioration is prevented. |
