PURPOSE:To enable the discharge of exhaust gas to the interior of a room from a practical viewpoint by providing a ceramic member having an oxidizing catalyst supported thereon and passing exhaust gas or heat discharged from a heat source through the through-hole group in one direction of the ceramic member while passing the exhaust gas used in the heating of an object to be heated through the through-hole group in the other direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic member 1 is mutually partitioned by walls and has a large number of through-holes in two direction crossing each other at an almost right angle. The ceramic member 7 is heated by the flame 6 of a lower burner 5 to bring the catalyst supported on the ceramic member 1 to an activated state and the food material 8 placed on an iron plate 7 is heated and cooked through the through-holes 3 for a heat source of the ceramic member 1. Next, the exhaust gas containing a large quantity of the smoke and offensive smell produced by heating and cooking is sucked into an exhaust duct 9 by a suction blower 10 to be guided to the exhaust through-holes 4 of the ceramic member 1 and the components of the smoke or offensive smell are subjected to oxidative decomposition by the action of the catalyst supported on the ceramic member 1 and the purified exhaust gas is discharged through the suction blower 10. |
