A green body which can be machined comprises ceramic particles and 1-15 wt.% binder(s) (on ceramic particles) which comprise polymers where at least 40% is one or more monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, or salts thereof, and up to 60% monoethylenically unsaturated acid-free monomers.
