PURPOSE:To improve riding comfort and maneuvering stability in a vehicle and optimize mounting onto the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic shock absorber has a spool 22 forming a first-order lag pressure chamber R1 communicated with a by-pass passage making a detour around an expanding side damping valve 5 disposed at a piston part 3, and cutting off the by-pass passage at the sliding time; and a spool 73 forming a first-order lag pressure chamber R2 communicated with a bypass passage making a detour around a pressing side damping valve 9 disposed at a base valve part 7, and cutting off the by-pass passage at the sliding time. It is so set that the respective spools 22, 73 slide into a sprung resonance area. |
