The propulsion unit has an injection tube surrounded by a heat shield with a decomposition chamber filled with a catalyst. An expansion nozzle is connected to the chamber. The heat shield (4), the decomposition chamber (3), and the expansion nozzle (2) are combined in a one-piece housing (1). The housing is manufactured by turning. A connection flange (5) is formed integrally with the heat screen. A divided distance disc is formed between the flange an injection valve, which is associated with the propulsion unit.
