The invention concerns a procedure and an arrangement for fixing grommets on a tarpaulin. According to the invention, a grommet 9 is extruded directly onto a tarpaulin 8, which grommet has, apart from an inner ridge 10 enclosing a central hole 11, an outer ridge 12.
