X=ray image detector with erasure light source

摘要

The detector uses an array of photodetectors (2), in front of a scintillator (3) for converting the X-ray radiation into light and behind a light source (5) for erasure of the X-ray image by uniform illumination of the photodetectors. The light source is provided as a point light source, illuminating the photodetectors via an optical system (6, 7). Pref. the optical system uses a mirror (6) and a dispersion lens (7), with the centre part of the lens acting as a diffusor, for providing a uniform light distribution across the surface of the photodetectors.
