PURPOSE:To automate the alignment of the plate cylinder mounted on the side frame of a printing unit in the axial direction thereof and the connection work to a drive shaft. CONSTITUTION:A collet chuck 24 is attached to the leading end of the drive shaft 18 provided to the single outside surfaces of a pair of side frames 11 and a positioning member 50 is provided so as to be positioned at the center thereof. The drive shaft moving device 60 allowing the drive shaft 18 to advance and retreat is connected to the rear end of the drive shaft 18 and a pusher 70 is provided on the opposite side of a pair of the side frames 11. Further, a plate cylinder 13 is set to a centering position by pushing the end surfaces of the plate cylinder shafts 14 provided to both surfaces of the plate cylinder 13 mounted within a pair of the side frames 11 by the positioning member 50 and the pusher 70 and, subsequently, the outer surface of the plate cylinder shaft 14 is grasped by the collet chuck 24 to be connected to the drive shaft. |
