PURPOSE:To attain inter-communication between video telephone sets of different communication systems by converting a mixed video audio signal of a protocol system received and demodulated by way of a MODEM into a mixture signal of other protocol system with a conversion matrix and sending the converted signal via a corresponding MODEM. CONSTITUTION:A mixed video audio signal of an (a) system protocol received by a MODEM 21a of an inter-communication equipment 20 is demultiplexed into a video signal and an audio signal by a demultiplexer means 22a, the compression is released and the signals are demodulated by demodulation means 25a, 26a. Then the protocol is converted into a (b) system protocol by a signal conversion matrix and compressed again and becomes a mixed video audio signal of the (b) system protocol by a mixing means 32b, and a CPU 38 referring a storage means 40 storing protocols selects the protocol via a voice guidance processing means 36 and a dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) sensing means 34 and the resulting signal is sent via a (b) system protocol MODEM means 21b. The processing of converting the (b) system into the (a) system is similar to above and then inter-communication is executed between video telephone sets employing different communication systems. |
