PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material showing excellent stability in color forming capacity even when the thermal recording material is allowed to stand for a long period of time under a high temp. condition equal to or higher than room temp. before use. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer is provided on a support or a thermal recording material wherein an undercoat layer is provided on the support and a thermal recording layer is provided thereon, the color forming component of the thermal recording layer consists of an aromatic isocyanate compd. and an aromatic imino compd. reacting with the isocyanate compd. at the time of heating to form a color and an amino resin prepolymer is added to either one of the undercoat layer and the thermal recording layer.
