A reusable package (1) serves as a protective package, in particular for relatively heavy sensitive equipment, for example for television sets, and can be used repeatedly. For this purpose, it has a bottom panel (2), a lid panel (3), pile supports (4) which are located between said panels in the position of use and are fixed by releasable plug-in connections and, on the outer side, at least one tensioning strap (5) which holds the entire package (1) together. The releasable and positively-locking plug-in connection between the pile supports (4) and panels (2) and (3) result in a simple construction, simple handling and yet a stable package (1) in which a stabilising jacket of correspondingly rigid and heavy material can be avoided.
