<p>Chuck for use with manual or powered driver having rotatable shaft, the chuck (10) including a bearing thrust ring fixed on the body (16) and a self-contained anti-friction bearing assembly (42) disposed adjacent the thrust ring (36). The chuck (10) further includes a nut (60) rotatably mounted on the bearing assembly (42) in engagement with the threads (34) on the jaws (18), and a generally cylindrical front sleeve (12) in driving engagement with the nut (60) and overlying the nose section (20) of the body (16) so that when the front sleeve member (12) is rotated with respect to the body (16), the jaws (18) will be moved thereby.</p> |
