The invention relates to a piece of dismantleable furniture whose boundary surfaces, such as side walls, ceilings and floors, are joined together with a stable frame by corresponding connecting elements. In this arrangement, the lateral edges of the lateral boundary surfaces are given a tubular configuration to receive threaded bars acting as vertical supports, the length of the threaded bars being so dimensioned that they protrude from the tubular configuration by a defined degree both floor-side and ceiling-side. The lateral boundary surfaces are fixed at a preset distance by a floor-side and a ceiling-side carcass bracing which is operatively connected to the threaded bars via lock nuts and centring elements. The threaded bars have height-adjustable foot parts at their floor-side end. At their ceiling-side end, they carry a canopy forming the upper termination of the piece of furniture. On the threaded bars there are provided sleeves with a corresponding internal thread which can be screwed onto the threaded bars, the tubular configurations being interrupted in the regions of the intended arrangement of these sleeves on the threaded bars. The sleeves associated with the rear side of the cupboard (cabinet) possess means to which the rear wall can be screwed and the sleeves associated with the front side of the cupboard possess means for receiving the doors.
