PURPOSE:To prevent black images from being recorded around an outputted original image even without using any pressure plate by providing a means for removing black images in the region beyond the region of the original formed on recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Digitized image data are binarized to 'black' or 'white' by a binarizing circuit 121 inside a basic image processing means 12. When either 'black' or 'white' is decided successively from the first picture element of one line and 'white' images more than a prescribed number are not continued, the inside of an original is not judged. After the inside of the original is temporarily judged, the inside of the original is judged even when the 'white' images are continued just less than the prescribed number. When no 'white' image appears to the end of one line after the 'white' images are similarly continued more than the prescribed number in the final area of one line, picture elements to the end of the white area where the 'white' images are continued more than the prescribed number are judged as the inside of the original. Then, data in the area judged as the outside of the original are replaced with 'white'. |
