PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension system comprising a less number of parts which can be preliminarily and completely assembled apart from a vehicle assembly line. SOLUTION: This independent wheel suspension for an automobile is provided with a wheel support part 12 to make suspension motion and steering motion, a suspension motion guide device provided with an elastic device 34 and shock absorbers 16 and 26, and control devices 42, 44, 46, and 40 for steering motion by the wheel support part. The wheel support part 12 slides along a steering element 16 inclined to a vertical axis, and the steering motion control devices includes an electric actuator 42 controlled by an electronic control unit 50 to correct the steering motion generated by the suspension motion. |
