PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device which selects paper which has thickness equivalent to the thickness of an original paper sheet and forms its image onto the paper. CONSTITUTION:An original is placed on an original platen glass 1, its image is projected onto a photosensing drum 10, a latent image is formed onto the photosensing drum 10, the image is developed by a developer 12 and transferred onto paper carried via paper feeding roller pairs 25, 26, fixed by a fixing device 17 and the resulting paper is discharged to a paper discharge tray 18 in this image forming device. The device is provided with plural paper feed decks 13, 14 loading the papers on which image is formed, paper thickness sensing rollers 40, 41 sensing the thickness of paper sheets 100, 101 loaded on the paper feed decks, and a paper selection means selecting the paper 100 or 101 corresponding to the requirement of paper thickness and a paper sheet with a required thickness is selected. |
