<p>PURPOSE:To save space by branching exhaust pipes as exhaust gas filters for a diesel engine and installing a pair of large and small filters thereto. CONSTITUTION:Branched pipes are provided in an inflow pipe 11 for exhaust gas, a main filter 1 of a large capacity and a sub-filter 3 of a small capacity are arranged in each of them and switching operation is effected by an A opening/closing valve 12 and a B opening/closing valve 36. The sub-filter 3 is operated in the time of high rotation speed and partial loading of an engine, while the main filter 1 out of operation is supplied with electric power from a generator having reserve power so as to improve efficiency of regenerative treatment of the filters.</p> |
