DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DECODING OF COMPOSITE SIGNAL

PURPOSE: To simplify a circuit configuration for decoding composite signal by eliminating noise and temperature drifts. CONSTITUTION: A device and method for decoding composite signal in which a D/A converter 18 digitizes a received composite signal. The digitized signal is sent to an average least square estimator 24. The estimator 24 generates an estimated composite value and the value is filtrated by means of a filter 26. A phase extractor 28 extracts the information on the phase shift between a sampling frequency and the received composite signal and a phase compensator 30 compensates the phase shift which occurs between the left- and right- channel signals of the received composite signal. A channel extractor 34 extracts the sum of and the difference between the left- and right-channel signals based on the phase information obtained by means of the phase extractor 28 and an interpolator 36 isolates the left- and right-channel signals from each other by performing addition and subtraction on the information obtained by means of the channel extractor 34.
