PURPOSE:To provide a power saving image forming device allowing a quick start and excellent in durability and copying speed. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with a fixing device 32 having a large heat capacity and a fixing device 33 having a small heat capacity. When the number of sheets to be copied is a prescribed value or below, a conveyance path switching plate 29 is switched to the fixing device 33 side, and the fixing action is performed by the fixing device 33. When the number of sheets to be copied is the prescribed value or above, the fixing action is performed by the fixing device 33 until the temperature of the fixing device 32 reaches the prescribed temperature, the conveyance path switching plate 29 is again switched after the temperature of the fixing device 32 reaches the prescribed temperature, then the fixing action is performed by the fixing device 32. |
