<p>PURPOSE:To provide a position imaging device which can efficiently measure an interesting specific site within an object to be measured for the position and size. CONSTITUTION:Two photons accompanying the annihilation enter a gamma-ray detector 210 of detector arrays 111 and 112 laid out while sandwiching an object to be measured. An electrical pulse signal output from the gamma-ray detector 210 is inputted to a annihilation estimation part 300, it is estimated that annihilation a pair of electron and position has occurred under simultaneous counting conditions, and then an annihilation occurring report and detector information are sent to an image reconfiguration part 520. An electrical pulse signal output from the gamma-ray detector 210 is inputted to a flight time different measurement part 400, the detection time difference between detectors is measured, and then it is reported to the image reconfiguration part 520. The image reconfiguration part 520 estimates and accumulates the annihilation position based on input information. The tomographic image of a specific site is obtained by an algorithm for virtually compensating a measurement error according to the segmental approximation method of the accumulated site information.</p> |
