PURPOSE: To provide a sheet diverter for guiding sheets into to different conveyer paths which are extended at an acute angle to each other, which can bypass even short lightweight sheets with no hindrance in such a case that its speed is high and its mechanical width is large. CONSTITUTION: An upper guide member 17 which is coupled to a turning drive device 22 can turn around a separate shaft 19 which is fixed to a frame and which extends in a zone above a plane where a sheet runs into, between an end of a lower belt 7 in the conveying part of a supply conveyer 3, as viewed in the running direction of the sheet, and another end thereof in a free space defined between the supply conveyer 3 and both conveying paths 4, 5. Further, both guide members 17, 18 are coupled to each other through the intermediary of a connecting link 33. |
