PURPOSE:To prevent ozone gas at high concentration level from flowing outside an image forming device over a long time by impregnating volatile ozone decomposer into an ozone filter. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust fan 2, the ozone filter 3, and an exhaust duct 4 are installed in that order from the side of an exhaust hole 6 provided on the lateral cover 5 of a copying machine main body. The ozone filter 3 is mainly formed of an absorber such as activated carbon, has many through holes 7, and is impregnated with the volatile ozone decomposer as a whole. Since ozone containing air generating when an image is formed is decomposed by the ozone decomposer impregnated in the ozone filter when it passes through the filter, ozone never attaches to the ozone filter nor remains therein, whereby the rate that the ozone filter removes ozone is not lowered. Thus, ozone can be removed stably over a long time, and is not discharged outside the device. |
