The invention relates to a sliding shoe for a panel of a vehicle roof which can be opened. The panel is mounted in longitudinally displaceable fashion in guide rails which are arranged along a roof opening. The sliding shoe has sliding surfaces which are provided with slideable plastic and which face the sliding tracks on the guide rails. Devices for scraping off particles of dirt, which devices are provided on these sliding surfaces and run obliquely in the direction of displacement, are, according to the invention, integrated directly into the sliding surface as raised ribs. By virtue of the fact that the obliquely running ribs on the one hand ensure linear contact of the sliding surfaces with the sliding tracks and, on the other hand, separate scraping lips which protrude over the guiding surfaces are not required, it is ensured that the operation of a tilt-and-slide roof is low in noise and wear.
