<p>PURPOSE:To provide a power steering device which enables the control of a steering assist torque and a restoration assist torque merely by using one sensor. CONSTITUTION:Steering torque is detected by a torque sensor 22 which is closer to a wheel 8 side than steering assist torque giving section by an electric motor 21 as an actuator and is arranged in an engaging section of a steering shaft 2 and a pinion shaft 3. If the detected amount is larger than the set amount, the electric motor 21 gives steering assist torque for the steering shaft 2, and if the detected amount is smaller than the set amount, the electric motor 21 gives restoration assist torque for the steering shaft 2.</p> |
