The magnetic recording supports comprise a nonmagnetic support material and at least one magnetic layer, applied thereto with high adhesive strength, based on a magnetic material finely divided in organic binders, the binder comprising at least 50 % by weight of a high-molecular-weight, branched polyurethane elastomer containing OH-containing urea groups at the chain ends.
