PURPOSE:To secure practical strength and to reduce weight by mixing a slurry of calcium silicate crystal with a specific spherical hollow filler. CONSTITUTION:(A) A crystalline calcium silicate raw material having <=20mum average particle diameter and (B) a calcareous raw material in a finely divided state similar to that of the component A in the molar ratio of about 1.0 are mixed with 20-40 times as much water as total weight of the components A and B to give a slurry, which is stirred in an autoclave at 180-230 deg.C under 10-28kg/cm<2> at <=100rpm and subjected to hydrothermal reaction to give (C) a calcium silicate crystal slurry which is fibrous or in a spherically aggregated fiber state. The slurry is mixed with 0.3-30 pts.wt. of a spherical hollow organic or inorganic hollow filter having 20-80 average particle diameter based on the dry weight of the slurry and optionally an additive such as fibers, metal powder, emulsion, inorganic or hydrocarbon floccurant, press molded through dehydration under about 0.8kg/cm<2> pressure and them dried at about 80 deg.C for about 5 hours. |
