PURPOSE:To let an optical network have a flexible variability to cope with the change, etc., of the demand of the network by efficiently recovering from all the faults and making possible the edition of an active line when a fault occurs in the optical network. CONSTITUTION:This network is an optical network having a node constitution that a space division light switch circuit network 101 where an active optical transmission line and a reserve optical transmission line are mixed at every route and are inputted/outputted, a wavelength division light switch circuit network 102 and a time division switch circuit network 103 are respectively and hierarchically connected. In the space division light switch circuit network 101, all the lines can be recovered because the optical transmission line is switched as all the multiplexing other than a space division multiplexing are performed. As each switch circuit network is hierarchically connected, an efficient fault recovery can be performed according to each fault. The edition of an active line is possible because the both of an active line and a reserve line are inputted/outputted in the switch circuit network. |
