A system is for controlling, in particular preventing, fluid flow, (and its use as a vehicle immobilisation system). The system comprises a number (four) valves each movable between ones of a number (seven) of different settings as marked by indicia on a control wheel 30 by which the valve may be operated. The valves are coupled in a fluid flow line (a car fuel supply line) and in only one setting of each is fluid (fuel) flow along the line permitted. Each valve has a body in the form of a cylindrical casing housing a cylindrical drum with a through bore coupling an inlet to an outlet of the valve when the valve is in one setting to allow fluid (fuel) flow therethrough. When provided in a fuel line for a vehicle the valves may be carried in a sealed container or box below the floor pan of the vehicle with spindles extending upwardly through the floor pan so that the valves are manually operable by driver of the vehicle when sitting in the vehicle. <IMAGE> |
