<p>PURPOSE:To carry out continuously variable valve timing by which power can be generated from any point in engine rotational range from low speed to high speed by one cam. CONSTITUTION:A cam 1, which is provided with a short radius arc face 1A, a long radius arc face 1C and an arc face 1B to connect the short radius arc face 1A to the long radius arc face 1C, and rotates reciprocally, is engaged with a valve stem 2. A specific position of an engaging point between the cam 1 and the valve stem 2 is made movable, and a valve 4 closes entirely by engagement of the short radius arc face 1A with the valve stem 2, and it opens entirely by engagement of the long radius arc face 1C with the valve stem 2.</p> |
