Method of manufacturing a shaped tube from a bottle, in which, in a first step, a bottle (1) made of flexible material is produced using injection-blowing or extrusion-blowing, this bottle including an open neck (3) and, at the opposite end, a closed bottom (4). The bottle has a cross-section (1) and a perimeter which vary depending on the direction of the axis (A) of the neck (3), the dimensions of this cross-section going through a maximum for a level located between the neck (3) and a welding area (S) remote from the neck. The bottle has a part (5), located below the welding area (S), comprising a cross-section which is substantially constant down to the bottom (4), so as to form a cylindrical portion (5), the ratio of the total height (H) of the bottle, from the base (3a) of the neck to the bottom (4), to the height (h) of the said cylindrical portion is between 3.5 and 4.5. In a second step, the main faces of the bottle (1) are welded, at the welding area (S), and, in a third step, the lower portion (5) of the bottle below the welding area (S) is cut off so as to remove the bottom and the region close to the bottom. <IMAGE> |
