PROCESS FOR IMPROVING THE VISIBILITY OF LINED STRUCTURES IN A DIGITAL IMAGE

A process for improving the visibility of linear structures in a digital image is described which is particularly suitable for emphasising the finest lines, e.g. blood vessels or catheters, in noisy X-ray images and also for amplifying linear structures in other digital images. The process of the invention is especially distinguished by its simplicity and high computing speed.
