PURPOSE:To provide an endoscope device in which the content of the common process can easily be changed, and the management for ROM can be facilitated in such a case that the content of the process by a program stored in a ROM on a circuit board which is removaly attached to a system body, has a part common to that of a process by a program stored in a ROM incorporated in the system body, or to that of a process by a program stored in a ROM on another circuit board. CONSTITUTION:A process having a common content is stored in a ROM at specific addresses in a system body. When a process is carried out by a program stored in a ROM 55 on a circuit board 52, the process having the common content are read from the specific addresses of the ROM 33 in the system body.
