<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a new organosilicon compound useful as an electron donating compound for producing an alpha-olefin polymer in a Ziegler-Natta catalytic system of magnesium chloride supported type. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound is texil(t-butoxy)dimethoxysilane expressed by the formula HC(CH3)2C(CH3)2-Si(OCH3)2(OC(CH3)3). When texil(t- butoxy)dimethoxysilane is used, it is possible to produce an alpha-olefin polymer having high stereospecificity without lowering the polymerization activity in comparison with a usually known electron donating compound. Further, this texil(tert-butoxy)dimethoxysilane compound is possibly used as a silane coupling agent or a resin improving agent.</p> |
