Appts. for cleaning the upper (1) and lower (2) tool parts in a foundry machine (esp. in a core or mask making plant) includes a blasting device (4) which is introduced between the tool parts (1,2) after core or mask removal. The novelty is that the blasting device (4) is combined with a suction system (5) in a housing (6) which can be clamped between and is open towards the tool parts (1,2).Both sides of the housing (6) have seals (7) which cooperate with the tool halves for external sealing purposes. The housing (6) contains an intermediate plate (8) which separates regions associated with the upper and lower tool parts (1,2) respectively and is provided with blasting and suction systems at both sides.
