<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible for a catheter to insert and retract easily in a unit having a one-piece seal formed of flexible elastic gum into which the catheter is insertable by arranging on the seal a neck opening, a sealing chamber and a pair of lips expandable when the catheter is inserted. CONSTITUTION: A cap 2 is fixed on the top of a longitudinal extended valve housing 3, a one-piece seal 6 formed of flexible elastic gum into which a catheter is easily insertable is assembled between the fixing ends of 2 the both and 3 by being clamped on its uppermost rim 9. The seal 6 comprises a tapered containing area 13 having a neck opening 14, and forms a hemisphere shaped sealing chamber 15 communicating with the neck opening 14. The seal 6 further comprises a supporting shoulders 23 for supporting the valve when the catheter is inserted through the neck opening 14, a slit 20 to divide the bottom of chamber 15 and a pair of lips 16, 17 expandable when the catheter is inserted.</p> |
