An injection moulded tube to hold pastes, and which is grooved round the end, is demoulded in a layout which has a mould block at that end with jaws which can move apart; the mould also has a female part and a core tool which can be moved inside that part; the female and the core can be moved separately or together from the head and then the jaws opened out; during these movements the tube itself can be moved axially and only released when the jaws have opened out. The figure shows the tube (10) with parallel sides, and a closed end (12) which is concave internally with a centre outlet which is threaded for a cap. The tube is emptied by an inserted plunger, and the end has features which prevent simple demoulding (groove, angled rib, etc.). The mould has a flat end block (22) and two jaws (23,24) to open in one common plane. ADVANTAGE - The layout and procedure enable tubes to be produced whose design makes it impossible to produce them by conventional techniques, or only with closely moulds made up of many parts.
