PURPOSE:To simplify the operation, at the time of lighting a plurality of discharge lamps with one inverter, by using an AND circuit by diode as a means for judging all lighting of the discharge lamps. CONSTITUTION:When a plurality of discharge lamps 1, 2 are lighted by an inverter 3 the output of which is controlled to discharge starting voltage and discharge keeping voltage by a control part 4, resistors R for detecting the load currents of the discharge lamps 1, 2 are mounted on the respective lamps, and all lighting is judged by an AND circuit by diodes D1, D2. At non-lighting, a transistor Q5 is OFF, the inverter 3 is controlled to the discharge starting voltage by the control part 4, and at all lighting, the Q5 is ON to make the inverter 3 output the discharge keeping voltage. |
