PURPOSE:To enable an operator to effectively make use of time by calculating the amount of consumables necessary for forming an image within the continuous number of desired image forming copies and displaying insufficiency information when the amount of consumables is insufficient in the case of forming the image. CONSTITUTION:The remaining amount of recording paper 10 is detected by integrating and arithmetically processing the rotating time of a driving motor for driving an ejecting roller 12 which is provided on the machine frame of a paper feeding tray 11 and ejects the recording paper 10 while abutting on the upper surface of the paper 10 by an arithmetic means. The arithmetic means sets the arithmetically processed result as the remaining amount of the paper 10 to which copying can be performed, and subtracts the remaining amount of the paper 10 from the desired number of copies inputted by the operator, outputs a paper supply number signal about the paper 10 and inputs it in a controller. The controller outputs the information to a display device. In the case the information shows smaller number than the desired number of copies, the insufficiency information is displayed. The remaining amount of toner is detected by subtracting the remaining amount of the paper 10, and a toner supply paper number signal about the paper 10 is outputted and inputted in the controller. The controller outputs the information to the display device. |
