PURPOSE:To provide a sweetener for chewing gum effective in improving the initial texture (chewiness) of a chewing gum and improving the palatability in spite of low cariogenicity and low calorific value compared with sugar. CONSTITUTION:The sweetener for chewing gum contains palatinit and at least one kind of lactitol hydrate selected from lactitol monohydrate and lactitol dihydrate. The ratio of the lactitol hydrate is 50-90wt.% based on the sum of the palatinit and the lactitol hydrate. |
