<p>PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle detector which is installed on the surface of a multiple-lane road and easily fixed in a selected place, and eliminates the influence on traffic volume during use by reducing disturbance to the traffic volume as much as possible, selectively supplies data relating to the respective lanes of the road by reducing the disturbance of data regarded as stray data generated from other lanes as much as possible, and has no connector at parts exposed to the traffic volume, and can be installed temporarily. CONSTITUTION: The vehicle detector installed on the surface of the multiple-lane road is equipped with at least a center conductor 1, a metal cladding 2, and a coaxial detector cable 10 which is provided with a filler material between the cladding 2 and center conductor 1. This coaxial detector cable 10 has at least one area which is called an active area and filled with a mechanical electronic material and at least one adjacent area which is called a neutral area and not charged with the mechanical electronic material. This detector is used to count vehicles on a multiple-lane highway.</p> |
