PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic apparatus which can measure a local pulse wave speed with improved measuring accuracy of pulse wave transmitting time. CONSTITUTION:Doppler signals 14 and 15 are once stored in a wave shape storing parts 16 and 17 and each partial wave shape 18 of the temporarily stored signal 23 in a wave shape storing part 17 is successively Fourier- transformed and is stored in a Fourier-storing part 20 as a Doppler time series frequency spectrum. A signal extracting part 21 selects a wide zone signal part of the stored content of this Fourier storing part 20 and a signal selecting part 22 selects only a specified part of the temporarily stored signal 23 and makes it as a standard signal 24. A correlation operating part 26 operates a mutual correlation factor 27 between the standard signal 24 and the temporarily storing signal 25 of the wave shape storing part 16. A speed operating part 28 measures with good accuracy the pulse wave transmitting time between neighboring observation points 12 and 13 and operates a speed from it and the distance between the observation points 12 and 13 determined by a distance judging part 29. It becomes possible thereby to measure quantitatively the degree of local arterial sclerosis in a fine blood vessel. |
