<p>A closure device covers the inlet portal of a swimming pool weir. The closure device has a main opening that is controlled by a weir flap and a secondary opening to accommodate flexible piping leading to a pool cleaner, whereby water can be drawn into the weir simultaneously both through the flexible piping and the main opening.
