PURPOSE:To stabilize welding operation and to improve product quality in laser welding of materials, such as galvanized steel sheets, coated with a material having the m.p. lower than that of the base metal. CONSTITUTION:This laser welding method consists in executing welding by mixing oxygen at 5 to 30% by volume of the entire part with an inert gas or gaseous nitrogen and blowing such gaseous mixture to a weld zone in lap welding or butt welding of the galvanized steel sheets or laser welding thereof by using a filler wire. |
