The system comprises two parts, a socket type member 1 to be secured to an item to be protected and a plug type member (Figs 4 and 5) for removable connection to the socket member. The plug type member is connected by an electrical cable (16) to an alarm system which is actuated if the plug is removed from the socket or if the cable is cut. As shown the socket incorporates a permanent magnet 2 and the plug incorporates a magnetic reed switch which is closed when the plug is in the socket. The system can be used to protect mobile property such as caravans, trailers, other vehicles and water craft when parked or moored. <IMAGE> |
